OK, so it wasn’t THE e-mail. You know, the one telling us to purchase plane tickets. But, we did get a little note in our inbox from the US Citizen and Immigration Services in Ho Chi Min City last week and it was an exciting day to be sure. You just feel good knowing that there is progress being made. And progress it was, as we were informed that our paperwork is now in the last phase before we are approved to travel. The letter stated that we should have clearance in 30-60 working days to come and get our son.
We know of a couple from our agency who received their final approval in 27 calendar days. I have also read that there are LOTS of folks that have gone way over the 60 days and are still waiting.
SO. We have it narrowed down to getting our approval sometime between tomorrow and any day after that.
I must go pack.
