One Year Ago....

On March 18, 2008 this almost three-year-old little boy was an orphan living in southern Vietnam.

March 19th, he met these two (kind, but slightly crazy) people who had already loved and prayed for him for 17 months.

They took him out of the orphanage for the first time in his entire life.

Pretty overwhelming.

For all of them.

And their first stop was to sign a few papers, officially making him "son" and them "Mama and Daddy."

An absolutely, glorious moment.

Tonight we'll be celebrating that anniversary and what God has done throughout Caleb's first year with us. I'll be sharing a few pictures and a "Progress Report" in coming days.

It has been an amazing chapter God has added to your family story! In some ways it is hard to believe it has been a year and in other ways it just seems like little Caleb has always been a part of your family!

hi guys- I think of you all and wonder how life is for Caleb? Our Kino is 9 ( double digits in Oct!!!) and he is a delight. Not sure if you will get this message but thought I would reach out and try. If you recall we were in Vietnam just a few weeks after you all and our sons were often pictured together in the offical photos they shared with us before we arrived. Hope all is well and would love to renew this connection.
take care,
Leslie Irving ~ ( Steve and Kino)
