Had my cake and ate it too!

There was one thing that made FFR '08 extra special for me. Yes - MY BIRTHDAY! Take a close look at the candles and you'll see that it was a biggie.
And there were actually 40 candles on there to begin with, but we didn't get a shot of that. May have been the fact that they were literally melting the cake.
Literally.
My family actually surprised me with a little party, but my sister took a big risk in the plan to get me out of the cabin so they could decorate. She asked me if she could talk me into joining her in the WORKOUT room.
"For WHAT?" I asked. Did she think I wanted to watch her work out? Well, since vacation = good food, I thought a 30 minute run on the tread mill would be good for her. So, I went along.
Oh, silly! I did walk next to her with my tready at 1/2 her speed. You may notice in upcoming photos that Krit is a bit slimmer than her older sister. Go figure?

I actually approached my 40th birthday with great anticipation. Knowing I was going to spend it with such a special crowd was a real reason to look forward to it.
And besides, I have so many friends and family (I'm the oldest Feldkamp Grandkid) who are not there yet, so that means, "Neener, neener, neener. I BEAT YOU!"
Thanks everyone, for making it such a great celebration!
