When we brought Micah James home from China over 2 1/2 years ago, (2 1/2 years!!) we noticed two things about him right away. He was very coordinated for his age and he seemed musically inclined. He could keep a beat and he could learn songs after hearing them just a couple of times. Maybe not pronounce the words - but he always had the tune right on. One of the first English words Micah learned was "Boom!" As in: the drums go boom-boom.
Therefore, when I happened upon this scene, it was no surprise.

He played for his dad and I for a very long time. Very long. Very, very long. He even got the sweaty drummer hair going after a while.
I told a friend last night that I wished I had purchased him a drum set for Christmas.
Of course, her reaction was, "Are you insane?!"
And I thought, "Wasn't that already evident?"
