Twins?

Grayden has spent the week at Camp Michindoh in Michigan with a couple of his best buddies. I went to pick him up this morning and as I walked up, one of his cabin-mates asked, "Is that your mom?"

"No." he replied.

Of course.

But, another kid said, "Yes it is! You look JUST LIKE her!"

OK, first of all, my apologies to my son that my genes came through stonger than his dad's. But, on top of that, I felt bad that he had just been told he looked just like a WOMAN. (Maybe it's the long hair. Hmmm.)

On the way home though, I started thinking about it and I felt bad for ME. I realized that maybe that kid was actually saying that I look like a BOY! (Maybe it's the long hair.) I suddenly recalled a photo of myself from my junior high years in which I was proudly sporting a new t-shirt with a decal of Andy Gibb's face. It looked like a photograph of Andy Gibb wearing an Andy Gibb tee. I'd totally love to go get it and scan it for you to see, if not for vanity and laziness.

Well, anyway, I am glad to have my Look-a-Like home if just for a short while. He heads out a week from Monday for a missions trip to Honduras and it is my prayer that he will come back from that looking even more like Jesus - on the INSIDE.

This gives me great hope for the teen years. New ways of embarrassing my son.

Great picture of you two. You should sneak a copy of it in his suitcase just incase he needs to see his mom, or maybe you will need a copy of the picture to keep by your pillow.

We are praying for a great trip!
