Since it was sunny and 75 degrees here in Bryan today, like it always is, the boys wanted to go out and play in the sandbox. After Caleb had come to the back door calling Mama for the 3rd time to reattach his velcro strap on his sandals, I thought it would be wise to remove said annoying footwear and let him feel the grass between his toes for the first time. Just a couple minutes later, I heard crying and whining from the back yard and looked out to see this.

Apparently grass between his toes does not impress.

Meanwhile,

seasoned veterans didn't even consider covering those cute little tootsies.

And if you think

grass between his toes didn't trip Caleb's trigger, you would be correct to presume he wasn't doing the sand thing either. Standing close enough was good enough.
Don't worry, after I mustered up all the compassion I could, I tossed him in the sandbox and told him to get on with his life.
What?
I said I mustered up "all the compassion I
COULD!"
And now, in an abrupt change of topic, I'd like to say that figuring out this Blogger Formatting (What are all these stupid gaps from? I keep deleting them and they just show up again!!) makes me want to shout. Throw my hands up and SHOUT! Kick my heals up and SHOUT! Profanities.
And since I probably shouldn't shout profanities, I guess I'll just publish as is and get on with MY life.

Did you go outside with a hair dryer and melt that snow? Finally?
Great pics!
Isn't it beautiful outside? We are LOVING IT!!
I remember Alli when she first felt grass in between her toes, she was not too impressed either. You'll have to publish a picture later when he's finally in the sandbox.
Compassion, I will have compassion.... :)
Garrett hated having sand on his hands too! Now I know what shirts you were talking about. Those were one of my favorites on the twins!
Yep, I'm with you on Blogger...
CUTE kids! Followed your trip to get Caleb! He's just adorable!
As I'm sure you've experienced before, too, our little Caroline did NOT like grass for a couple of months! And I, of course, took pictures instead of coming to the rescue. :-)
We are an AWAA family...adopted last year in Feb, 2007.
Yes....I remember when each of the girls first got to go barefoot outside, tip toeing around like they weren't sure what to do with this green stuff.
Looks like everyone was outside enjoying the nice weather yesterday. Before you know if Caleb will be out there sitting in the middle of the sandbox not wanting to come back inside when it is time to!
I think you guys got the cutest little boy in all of Vietnam! My goodness!
