We went for our interview at the embassy today and we asked the official if it was possible to get them back this afternoon. She said she could do it for us! Unless, of course there were computer glitches.
We came back to the room, booked our flight and hotel in HCMC, (United doesn't fly out of Ha Noi, so we have to go back to the south) packed up and checked out. We sat in the hotel lobby for two hours waiting for them to call us to get our visas.
Instead, they called to tell us there were computer glitches.
Yes, there were.
We are now stuck here until who knows when? They said they would have someone there working on it over the weekend and they would call Rosalie's cell if they could get us our visas. Problem is that there are not many seats on the flights, so if we can get Caleb's visa, there is still no gaurantee that we can get out.
We are so thankful for Rosalie. She has done so much to help us, I can't even begin to tell you about it. And our little man - he played with a couple of pillows off the hotel lobby couch for the entire afternoon and didn't give us any trouble.
So, we checked back in and now we wait.
Caleb must think we are nuts.

Be still and know that I am God...
Psalm 46:10
Can't wait to see you, but you should stay as long as you can and enjoy the weather! Lots of snow on the ground again here today. Believe me - you don't want to come back to this. Our kids had a great time together yesterday.
All is well here Kelly. Christy is doing such a great job! Be patient. I know you're anxious to get home as we all would be. It's just going to make home that much sweeter. Just think how happy you'll be to be in your own bed! I know how you love that bed. Praying...
Bummer......I don't know if I would have laughed. But, you know who is in control....you'll be home before you know it!???
Have fun while you are there! You will fly home when it is time!
Main thing is to bond and absord all you can of the place Caleb used to know as home.
Yes, and once you're home, how often will you have just "Caleb time"? And how often will you have just "hubby time"!? (I know Caleb is with you BUT one interruption verses six...!) I know, once you have your heart set on coming home you want to be home NOW with ALL your kids though. I am the same way when I'm gone for only 2 nights!
Your process is so interesting and a tad dreadful to contemplate as we will be living it in a couple days. I do hope its just an Ohio snow effect or something that causes the issues you have been troubled with...
Now I'm nervous about all our flight plans that just got confirmed. Hmmm not written in stone it would seem. I hope despite it all that the three of you continue in grand spirits on this adventure of a lifetime!
Leslie
I'm taking a deep breath for you.
That Lamaze comes in handy about now.
Haven't you learned by now that if something is going to go wrong for you guys it will be with computers and such?!? I'm praying you'll be home as soon as possible...
Hang in there guys! I passed your house on the way home from work and it's still there... a very peaceful picture. Take our word for it, the weather here is COLD, you can't possibly want to rush back to that. But we're excited to see you and meet that sweet boy. Although E is a little nervous since he's a known friend-biter. (:
update-The kids went outside today and built a snowman. His name is Tom. They made him so big that they had to break the middle section into thirds and put him together! I thought that was math for the day..haha..anyway. Emma is a great baby hog. Everytime Dani cries she's there to pick her up. I keep asking if she wants me to take her!? She always says no. Anyway, they are having a great time. She was disappointed when she read you couldn't come home early, but I told her maybe you still could and at least she KNOWS you'll be home the 2nd. I think we'll rent The Bee movie tonight, I think it's only rated R, just kidding....
Well, until tomorrow! Take care!
