Everywhere you look in HCMC there are scooters. Millions of scooters. The traffic flow is much like what we experienced in China: Complete chaos. No rules. Downright scarey.
We have seen people carrying all kinds of things on their scooters. Dogs, furniture, and all of their family members. Like, five people on one scooter. Which, by the way, is against the law, but they do it anyway.
Here is our favorite scooter owner, Yen. (Pronounced "Ing," I keep forgetting to mention.) She asked if we wanted to see her scooter, which she rides to the hotel to get us and then we all take a taxi to our destination. "Sure!" we answered. So she pulled it out of the little parking garage and brought it up front, kindly posing for a picture.
But wait! Most people wear these little masks over their faces to avoid breathing in the scooter fumes. So, I asked Yen if we could see the whole package. "But, I look like a NINJA!" she giggled. Then she kindly obliged. Not knowing I would post it on the world wide web.
You know what though? I assured her that no one would mistake a 5 ft. tall, 100 lb. girl with a pink polo shirt and matching pink smog cloth as a ninja.
Don't you agree?

I thought you was going to say that she picks you up and you all ride the scooter with her, now that would be a funny photo, all in your ninja masks!
